Answer:

By substitution method :

y substitution method :question is that. x+2Y= -1 eq (1)

(1) 2x-3y=12 eq (2)

(2)from eq 1

(2)from eq 1 x+2Y= -1

(2)from eq 1 x+2Y= -1x= -1-2y eq (3)

(3)now put the value of x from eq 3 to eq 2

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is :

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=12

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12-2-4y-3y=12

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12-2-4y-3y=12-2-7y=12

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12-2-4y-3y=12-2-7y=12-7y=12+2

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12-2-4y-3y=12-2-7y=12-7y=12+2-7y=14

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12-2-4y-3y=12-2-7y=12-7y=12+2-7y=14y=14/-7

value of x from eq 3 to eq 2 that is : 2x-3y=122(-1-2y)-3y=12-2-4y-3y=12-2-7y=12-7y=12+2-7y=14y=14/-7y= -1

Now put the value of y in any eq to find the value of x

x+2Y= -1

x+2(-2)=-1

x+(-4)=-1

x-4=-1

x=-1+4

x=3

so the vaue of y =-2 and x=3
