Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

x+2y = -1 -------(1)

2x-3y=12 ---------(2)

From (1) , we get

x + 2y = -1

x = -1 - 2y -------(3)

putting the value of x in (2) , we get

2x - 3y = 12

2 ( -1 - 2y ) - 3y = 12

-2 - 4y - 3y = 12

-7y = 12 + 2

y = 14/-7

y = -2

Put the value of y in (3) , we get

x = -1 - 2y

x = -1 - 2*-2

x = -1 + 4 = 3.

Hence,

( X, Y ) = ( 3 , - 2 )

Hope it will help you :)
