:-We have

=> x - 2y = -10 .......(i)eq

=> 3x - 5y = - 12 ........(ii)eq

Now using substitution method So take (i)eq

=> x - 2y = - 10

=> x = -10 + 2y .......(iii)eq

Put the value of x on (ii)eq

=> 3x - 5y = -12 ......(ii)eq

=>3( -10 + 2y ) - 5y = -12

=> -30 + 6y - 5y = -12

=> y = 30 - 12

=> y = 18

Now put the value of y on (iii)eq

=> x = - 10 + 2y .....(iii)eq

=> y = 18

=> x = - 10 + 2×18

=> x = - 10 + 36

=> x = 26

So answer x = 26 and y = 18
