x-2y=13

x = 13 +2y (i)

Substituting (i) in 2x-3y=14

2x-3y=14

2 (13 +2y) -3y =14

26 +4y -3y =14

26 +y = 14

y = -12

Substituting y = -12 in (i),

x = 13 - 2(-12)

= 13 +24

x = 37
