x-2y=8,you have written x=8-2y instead of x=8+2y.and someone has deleated my correct answer now i am going to school....after coming i will post again...

x-2y=8 X=8+2y Substuting in eq 2 2x-3y=14 2(8+2y)-3y=14 16+4y-3y=14 16+y=14 Y= -2 aGAin putting X-2y=8 X-(2*-2)=8 X+4=8 X=4
