Given:- x/3=1/5(x-4)

now,

=> x/3 = 1/5 ( x - 4 )

=> 5x = 3 ( x - 4 )

=> 5x = 3x - 12

=> 5x - 3x = - 12

=> 2x = - 12

=> x = - ( 12/2 )

=> x = - 6

Hence, x = - 6
