 x + 1 = 0\\ x =  - 1 \\ f(x) =  {x}^{3}  + 3 {x}^{2}  - 1 \\ f( - 1) =  - 1 {}^{3}  + 3( - 1) {}^{2}  - 1 \\ f( - 1) =  - 1 + 3 - 1 =  + 1

quotient =  {x}^{2}  + 2x
