Solution:

_____________________________________________________________

Given:

 \frac{x}{3} + \frac{y}{4} = 11

Multiplying equation by 12,

We get,

=>  12(\frac{x}{3})+12 ( \frac{y}{4} )  = 11(12)

=> 4x + 3y = 132  ...(i)

________________________________

 \frac{5x}{6} - \frac{y}{3} = -7

Multiplying equation by 6,

We get,

=> 6( \frac{5x}{6} ) -6( \frac{y}{3} ) = -7(6)

=>5x-2y=-42 ...(ii)

____________________________________________________________

To find :

values of x & y,.

_____________________________________________________________

To get value of x, we need to eliminate y,.

This can be done by,.

Adding 3 x (Equation 2) and 2 x (Equation 1)

=> 2(4x + 3y) + 3 (5x - 2y) = 2 (132) + 3 (-42)

=> 8x + 12y + 15x -12y = 264 - 126

=> 23x = 138

=> ∴ x =  6

______________________________

Substituting value of x in equation 1,

we get,

=> 4x + 3y = 132

=> 4(6) + 3y = 132

=> 24 + 3y = 132

=> 3y = 132 - 24

=> 3y = 108

=> ∴ y = 36
