x + 3y = 6..........(1)

2x - 3y = 12 ........(2)

on adding equation (1) in equation (2),

x + 3y + 2x -3y = 6 + 12

3x = 18

X = 6

putting the value of x in equation (1),

6 + 3y = 12

3y = 12 - 6 = 6

y = 6/3 = 2

X = 6 , y = 2
