(x – 4) (2x + 3) = 2x2

⇒ x (2x + 3) – 4 (2x + 3) = 2x2

⇒ 2x2 + 3x – 8x – 12 = 2x2

⇒ 2x2 + 3x – 8x – 2x2 = 12

⇒ -5x = 12 ⇒ x = 12/-5 = -12/5

∴ x = -2. 2/5

SOLUTION :

(x - 4)(2x + 3) = 2x {}^{2}  \\  \\  =  > 2x {}^{2}  + 3x - 8x - 12 = 2x {}^{2}  \\  \\  =  >  - 5x - 12 = 0 \\  \\  =  >  - 5x = 12 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{12}{ - 5}

HOPE IT HELPS !!!!
