Answer:

x/5-y/3=4/15 ........(1)

x/2-y/9=7/18 .........(2)

multiply equation( 1 )by 15 and equation to (2) by 18

we get ,

3x-5y=4 .......(3)

9x-2y=7 ........(4)

multiply equation (3) by 2 and equation (4 )by 5

we get,

6x-10y=8 ........(5)

45x-10y=35 ........(6)

subtracting equation five from equation 6

45x-10y=35

- 6x-10y=8

____________

39x = 27

x= 27/39

x=9/13

substituting x = 9/13 in equation (5)

6x-10y=8

6×9/13-10y= 8

9/3-10y =8/6

-10y =4/3 -9/13

-10y =-5/10

-10y=-1/2

y=-1/2/-10

y=1/2×10

y=5

therefore (x,y) =(9/13 ,5)
