Step-by-step explanation:

• Given •

 x + 7  -  \frac{8x}{3}  =  \frac{17}{6}  -  \frac{5x}{2}

7 -  \frac{17}{6}  =  \frac{8x}{3} -  \frac{5x}{2}   - x

L.C.M Of 6 and 1 = 6

And

L.C.M Of 3,2 And 1 = 6

 \frac{42 - 17}{6}  =  \frac{16x - 15x - 6x}{6}

 \frac{25}{6}  =  \frac{ - 5x}{6}

 - 5x = \frac{25 \times 6}{ 6}

Hence,

x =  - 5
