Y=9

x=14

Step-by-step explanation:

x/7+y/3=5

or, 3x+7y/21=5

or, 3x+7y=105 equation (i)

x/2-y/9=6

or, 9x-2y/18=6

or, 9x-2y=108 equation (ii)

Multiplying equation (i) with 3 we get,

9x+21y=315. equation (iii)

Now by adding equation (ii) & (iii) we get,

9x+21y=315

9x-2y =108

After adding we get , 23y=207

or, y = 207/23

or, y = 9

Now we put the value of y=9 in equation (i),

3x+7(9)=105

or, 3x=105-63

or,x = 42/3

or, x= 14
