hey !!
x = a sec¢
sec ¢ = x /a -----1)
y = b tan¢
tan¢ = y/b ------2)
if we squaring both 1, 2, equation and subtracting from 1 to 2 we get ...
sec²¢ - tan²¢ = x²/a²-y²/b²
=> 1 =x²/a² - y²/b². ...
here ¢ is eliminated ...
