Method used

Cross multiplication method

→ x/a + y/b = 2

→ (bx + ay)/ab = 2

→ bx + ay = 2ab

bx + ay - 2ab

→ ax - by = a² - b²

ax - by - (a² - b²) = 0

So two equations are,

→ bx + ay - 2ab = 0

→ ax - by - (a² - b²) = 0

[See the attachment]

x = ‘a’ and y = ‘b’
