Answer: 279

Step-by-step explanation: X and Y are real numbers

Given equation

7x -16y =0

7x = 0 + 16Y

x = 16y/7 .....(1)

second equation that given in the question  is

4x - 49 y = 0....(2)

putting the value of x from equation (1) in the equation (2)

4x - 49 y =0

4 × 16 y/7 - 49 y =0

64y/7 - 49y = 0

taking L.C.M 7 AND 1 =7

64y - 343 y /7 = 0

279 y = 7

y = 7 × 279

y = 1953

Putting the value of y in equation

7x - 16 y = 0

7x - 16 ×1953 = 0

7x - 11718 = 0

7x = 11718

x = 11718 / 7

x = 1674

So the real number is 1674, 1953

then the value of ( y - x )

1953 - 1674

= 279
