X has 2 valence electrons that means that there are 2 electrons in it's outermost shell..
When these electrons are removed,
Atom will aquire positive charge of 2 units.
So,
It will become
X (2+) cation.....

Bcoz of 2 valence electrons X is metallic in nature, I.e., it can easily lose electrons .
On removing the electrons from its valence shell it will become an ion X2+ with positive charge of 2.
