x*x + kx + 6 = x*x + 3x + 2x + 6
=> kx + 6 = 5x + 6
=> kx = 5x
=> k = 5
=> kx + 6 = 5x + 6
=> kx = 5x
=> k = 5

[x+2] is the factor of x^2 + kx + 6
x+2=0
x=-2
p(-2)= (-2)^2 + k(-2) + 6 =0
=4- 2k +6 =0
=4+6=2k
=10/2 =k
=5 =k
put the value of k in given polynomial
=x^2 + 5k +6
=x^2 +3x +2x +6
= x (x + 3) +2(x +3)
= (x+3) +(x +2)
x+2=0
x=-2
p(-2)= (-2)^2 + k(-2) + 6 =0
=4- 2k +6 =0
=4+6=2k
=10/2 =k
=5 =k
put the value of k in given polynomial
=x^2 + 5k +6
=x^2 +3x +2x +6
= x (x + 3) +2(x +3)
= (x+3) +(x +2)
