x^2 + 18x + 32
=> x^2 + 16x + 2x + 32
=> x(x + 16) + 2(x + 16)
=> (x + 2) (x + 16)
Therefore, x = -2 or -16....

hpatel: thanks
Ommani: welcome
studyninja: x=-2 and x=-16 are solutions not factors. factors are (x+2) and (x+16)

x^2 + 18x + 32 = 0
(I guess u missed the 0)
x^2 + 16x +2x + 32 = 0
(Because 16+2=18 and 16*2=32)
now,
x(x + 16) + 2(x + 16) = 0
(x+2)(x+16)=0
thus, x+2 and x+16 are the factors
