Hey there !
Solution:
Given equation : x² - 3x - 10
This can be factorised by splitting the middle term
=> x² - 5x x+ 2x - 10 = 0
=> x ( x - 5 ) +2 ( x - 5 ) = 0
=> ( x - 5 ) ( x + 2 ) = 0
=> x = 5, -2
Hope my answer helped !

x2-3x-10
x2-5x+2x-10
x2+2x-5x-10
x (x+2)-5 (x+2)
(x+2)(x-5)
there for factors/ zero of the polynomial are x+2 and x-5
x2-5x+2x-10
x2+2x-5x-10
x (x+2)-5 (x+2)
(x+2)(x-5)
there for factors/ zero of the polynomial are x+2 and x-5
