Hello !!

We have a equation of second degree and we can solve with bhaskara formula.

x^2 - 7x + 12 = 0

Coeficients.

A = 1 ; B = -7 ; C = 12.

Find the discriminant.

D = b^2 - 4ac

D = (-7)^2 - 4 × 1 × 12

D = 49 - 4 × 12

D = 49 - 48

D = 1

Now, we find the roots.

x = (-b ± √D)/(2a)

x = (-(-7) ± √1)/(2 × 1)

x = (7 ± 1)/2

x' = (7 + 1)/2

x' = 8/2

x' = 4

x'' = (7 - 1)/2

x'' = 6/2

x'' = 3

Final result : the solution for quadratic equation is X = {4 , 3}.

I hope I have collaborated !
