Answer:

 \frac{x}{3 + 2y}  =  - 18 \:  \: equation \: (i)

 \frac{x}{3 + 6y}  = 30 \: equation(ii)

by cross multiplication

{from eq (I)}

x=-18(3+2y)

x=-54-36y

x+36y=-54 eq(iii)

by cross multiplication

{from eq (ii)}

x=30(3+6y)

x=90+180y

x-180y=90 eq(iv)

by elimination method

subtraction

eq 4th from 3rd

x+36y=-54

x-180y=90

-. +. -

_________

216y=-144

y=-144/216

we can write it as 0.6666

_

y=0.6

put value of y in eq (iii)

x +36(-144/216)=-54

x-24=-54

x=-54+24

x=-30
