hey mate here is your answer

(x+y)^2= x^2+ y^2 +2xy

(15)^2= x^2+ y^2 +2×56

225= x^2+ y^2 +112

so, x^2+ y^2 = 225-112

therefore

x^2+ y^2 = 113
