x - y = 3 and x/3 + y/2 = 6

x = 3 + y ------- (1) \frac{2x + 3y}{6} = 6

Multiplying whole equation(1) by 2 2*x + 3*y = 36 ------- (2)

2*x - 2*y = 6

Now, 2*x + 3*y = 36

2*x - 2*y = 6

5*y = 30

y = 30/5 = 6

Now, putting value of y in (1), we get x = 3 + 6 = 9

Therefore, using elimination method x = 9 and y = 6.
