x-y=3.......eq 1

x/3+y/2=6

(2x+3y)/6=6

2x+3y=36.......eq 2

by substitution method

x=3+y

2x+3y=36

substituting x by 3+y

2(3+y)+3y=36

6+2y+3y=36

5y=36-6

5y=30

y=30/5

y=6

x=3+y

x=3+6

x=9
