first we - 2 equation then we got 3 X is equals 10 then from 3 X is equals 10 week 8 x is equals 10 by 3 and Y is equals 5 by 3

change the signs
X+y=5
4x+y=15

X=10/3
substitute X= 10/3 in X+y=5
then
10/3+y=5
y= 5-10/3
y=10-5/3
y= 5/3

value of X=10/3
value of Y= 5/3
