x+y = 5 --- > (1)\\2x-3y=4 ---- > (2)

from equation (1) we get

x =5-y

Now, substitute the value of 'x' in equation (2).

[2*(5-y)]-3y = 4\\10-2y-3y=4\\10-5y=4\\5y=6\\y=\frac{6}{5}\\  y = 1.2

Now, substitute the value of 'y' in equation (1) we get

x+1.2 = 5\\x = (5-1.2)\\x = 3.8

∴ By solving the two equations by substitution method we get

(x,y) = (3.8,1.2)
