\sf{\underline{Solution:-}}

→ x + y = 5 equ(¡)

→ 2x - 3y = 4 equation (¡¡ )

Now,

  • multiplying equ (¡) by 2
  • subtracting equ (¡¡) from equ(¡)

→ (2x + 2y = 10) - (2x - 3y = 4 )

→ 2x + 2y - 2x + 3y = 6

→ 5y = 6

→ y = 6/5

  • Putting the value of y in equ(¡)

→ x+ y = 5

→ x + 6/5 = 5

→ x = 5 - 6/5

→ x = 19/5

\sf{\underline{Hence:-}}

  • x = 19/5
  • x = 19/5y = 6/5
