X + Y - 6 equal to zero and 4 x minus 2 Y - 4 equal to zero find the value of x and y​

Given:

x + y -6 = 0

=> x+y=6 ................(i) equ

4x - 2 y-4 = 0

=> 4x-2y=4 ...................(ii) equ

Multiply -4 in eq (i)

=> -4x - 4y=-24. ...............(iii) equ

Equate (ii) eq and (iii).

4x -2y=4

-4x-4y=-24

..........................

-6y= -20

=> y=20/6=> 10/3

substitute in equ (i)

x+y = 4

x + 10/3 = 4

or, x = 4 -10 / 3

or, x = 12-10 / 3

or, x = 2/3
