Step 1 : Draw three collinear points and name them as X, Y and Z.

Step 2 : Join all the three collinear points with a straight line passing through them either obliquely or vertically by taking help of a scale.

Step 3 : Draw a parallel line to that line which you have drawn just now (that is, a parallel line to the line passing through the three collinear points).

For a view of the picture, a sample picture is illustrated at the top. But remember, never use pen for constructions in mathematics. A'B' is the line parallel to AB where AB is the line joining three collinear points X, Y and Z.
