Heya

Here is ur answer

========================

Given equations :-

X + Y = 5 --------(1)

2x - 3y = 4 ------(2)

From equation (1)

X + y = 5

X = 5-y

Now v got X value

So ,

Substitute value of "X " in equation (2)

♦ 2x -3y = 4

♦ 2 (5-y ) - 3y = 4

♦ 10 - 2y -3y = 4

♦ 10 - 5y = 4

♦ -5y = 4 -10

♦ y = 6/5

Substitute y value in equation (1)

X + (6/5) = 5

X + 6/5 = 5

X = 5 -6/5

X = 19 / 5

____

Hence

X = 19/5, y = 6/5

Hope it helps u..!!

Step-by-step explanation:

x=5-y

x=5

put x=5 in equation 2

2(5)-3y=4

10-3y=4

8y=4

y=4/8

now y=4/8 in equation 2

2x-3(4/8)=4

2x-3/1(4/8)=4

2x-12/8=4

x=-12/8-4/2

x=48/16
