The given equations are

    x - y + z = 170 ...(i)

    x - z + y = 130 ...(ii)

We need to find the value of x

Taking the sum of (i) and (ii) no. equations, we get

    x - y + z + x - z + y = 170 + 130

==> 2x = 300

==> x = 300/2

==> x = 150

Therefore, the required solution be

    x = 150

x+y=130+z
170-z+y=130 (from 1)
170-130=z-y
40=z-y......(2)
