Question:-

Divide x² + 20x + 91 by ( x + 7 )

Solution:-

Using factor theorem

we get ;

p(x) = x² + 20x + 91

So p(x) is divided by ( x + 7 )

So

x + 7 = 0

x = - 7

Now put the of x on p( x )

=> ( - 7 )² + 20 × - 7 + 91

=> 49 - 140 + 91

=> 140 - 140

=> 0

Hence

Remainder = 0
