 x {}^{2}  + 2x - 6 = 0 \\ a = 1 \:  \:  \: b = 2 \:  \:  \:  \: c =  - 6 \\ b {}^{2}  - 4ac = 2 {}^{2}  - 4 \times 1 \times ( - 6) \\ 4 + 24 = 28 \\

x =  \frac{−b± \sqrt{ {b }^{2}  - 4ac} }{2a}    =\frac{ - 2± \sqrt{28} }{2 \times 1}  =   \frac{ - 2± \sqrt{28} }{2}  =  \frac{2±2 \sqrt{7} }{2}

x =  \frac{ - 2 + 2 \sqrt{7}}    {2} =  \ - 1 +  \sqrt{7}    \\ x =   \frac{ - 2  - 2 \sqrt{7} }{2}  =  - 1 -  \sqrt{7}
