Since, x - 1 is a factor
=> x - 1 = 0
=> x = 1 ---------- (1)

⭐ P(x) = 0

P(x) = x^2 - 2x + k

Now, putting value of x in P(x) we get,

=> (1) ^2 - 2(1) + k = 0
=> 1 - 2 + k = 0
=> - 1 + k = 0
=> k = 1

Hence, value of k = 1
