Let, p(x) = x^2 + 6x + 9

2x - 1 = 0

2x = 1

x = 1/2

Using x = 1/2 in p(x)

p(1/2) = (1/2)^2 + 6(1/2) + 9

= 1/4 + 6/2 + 9

= 1/4 + 3 + 9

= 1/4 + 12

= (1 + 48)/4

= 49/4
