x³-7x²+6x+4 is divided by (x-6)find the remainder using remainder theorem

Heya..

According to Remainder theorem,

If a polynomial p (x) divided by (x-a) then remainder equal to p (a).

Let p(x) = x³-7x²+6x+4 and x-a as x-6.

So 6 = a.

Hence remainder = p(6)

=) p(6) = 6^3 - 7(6)^2 + 6(6) + 4

= 216 - 252 + 36 + 4

= 256 - 252

= 4.
