According to given sum,

 {x}^{3} + {x}^{2} + x + 1
By remainder theorem,

x-1/2=0
x=1/2

Replace the x with 1/2 in the polynomial.

 {x}^{3} + {x}^{2} + x + 1

( { \frac{1}{2} })^{3} + ( { \frac{1}{2} })^{2} + \frac{1}{2} + 1

 \frac{1}{8} + \frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{2} + 1

 \frac{1 + 2 + 4 + 8}{8}

 = \frac{15}{8}

Hence remainder is 15/8.

:-)hope it helps u.
