y = -⅔x+4y -(1)

y = 4x+1-(2)

We have to find the solution by substitution method . So ,

Substituting the value of y from eq. 2 in eq. 1 ,

4x+1 = -⅔x+4

4x= -⅔x+4-1

4x = -⅔x +3

4x+⅔x = 3

 \frac{12x}{3}  +  \frac{2x}{3}  = 3 \\  =  \frac{14x}{3}  = 3 \\ 14x = 9 \\ x =  \frac{9}{14}

y = 4x + 1 \\ y = 4 \times  \frac{9}{14}  + 1 \\  =  \frac{18}{7}  + 1 \\  =  \frac{18 + 7}{7}  =  \frac{25}{7}
