Y does the ray of light bends towards the normal when it enters from air.in the glass slab and bends away from the normal when it emerges out into air??

here's ur answer :-

a ray of light bends towards the normal when it enters from air in a glass slab because in this case angle of refraction (r) is smaller than the angle of incidence(i).

a ray of light bends away from the normal when it emerges out into air becoz in this case angle of refraction is greater than the angle of incidence.

due to change in speed of light ray.
1)in glass slab (denser) speed is less so it moves away from normal.
)in air(rarer) it moves towards normal as its speed is more
