India got freedom on 15th August,1947 from British. this freedom in other words is known as Independence.

Independence Day is celebrated as on 15th of August,1947 our country gained independence from 200 long year rule of Britishers. The day is celebrated so as to remember all those sacrifices that the patriots had given in order to free up their nation.
Our freedom isn't cheap. It costs a huge amount of patriots and sacrifices that now we are living in a beautiful and independent country. Even a bird living in a cage getting all the facilities want to fly in the high sky. In the same way, Indians had a hunger of living in their own way. Our great leaders and freedom fighters laid their lives down and gave blood shredding in order to make India's future bright. So we should respect our freedom and never forget those hardships that our great people have faced.
