Hie!!
Given Question is y = { √x + 1/√x }²
y = { (√x)² + (1/√x)² + 2(√x) (1/√x) }
Becoz ( a + b )² = a² + b² + 2ab
y = x + 1/x + 2
Now, Differentiate both sides w.r.t x we have.
dy/dx = 1 - 1/x²
Note:-
Differentiation of 1/x or x-¹ w.r.t x is
-1( x-² ) = -1/x²
Becoz Differentiation of xⁿ w.r.t x is
nxⁿ-¹
-------------------------------------------------------
If The questions is like this find dy/dy
Then
y = x + 1/x + 2
y = y
Now, Differentiate both sides w.r.t. y we have
dy/dy = 1
