Given Y = x² + 4x + 1    at x= 3
Substituting x= 3  we get
Y = 3² + 4(3) + 1
   = 9 + 12 + 1  =  10+12 = 22
Therefore Y = 22

putting the value of x in Y = x² + 4x + 1
Y = x² + 4x + 1
Y = 3² + 4×3 + 1
Y = 9+12+1
Y = 22
The value of Y =  22

Hope it helps
Cheers
