Answer
In kreb's cycle, FADH₂ is formed in conversation of succinic acid to fumaric acid.
In oxidation - III, succinic acid and FAD converts to fumaric acid and FADH₂ with the help of succinic dehydrogenase.
FADH means reduced flavin adenine dinucleotide. One molecule of FADH₂ produces 2 molecules of ATP.
The last product of citric acid cycle is two carbon dioxide molecules, one GTP, three NADH and one FADH₂.
Know more :
- Citric acid cycle is also known as Kreb's cycle or tricarboxylic acid cycle.
- This cycle was discovered by Hans krebs.
- Kreb's cycle occurs only under aerobic conditions.
- This is found in the matrix of Mitochondria which bis located in the inner membrane of the Mitochondria.
