Therefore, in one day B can do work = 1unit
Then the A's ability to do work = 2X
Therefore, in one day A can do work = 2 units
Altogether they complete the work = 14 days
X + 2X = 14
3X = 14
Total work done = 14 x 3 = 42 units
Now B can alone do work in = 42/1
= 42 days
A alone can compete the same
work in = 42/2 = 21 days.
