sec square theta - tan square theta = 1

( sec theta + tan theta ) ( sec theta - tan theta ) =1

---- { becoz a square - b square = (a+b) (a-b) }

( sec theta + tan theta ) 1/3 = 1

sec theta + tan theta = 1/1/3

= 3
