Question

Yesterday, it was my birthday.My parents gave me a surprise birthday party. i am delighted and touched by this gesture. i want to write a dairy entry about it.

Dear Diary,           
   Yesterday was my birthday. When I woke up, I was expecting many gifts on my bedside table. But to my surprise, there were none. I got out of bed thinking about what my parents had planned for the day. I got ready for school. Nobody even wished me 'Happy Birthday'. I came back from school and left for my tennis classes. When I was coming home, it was about seven o'clock. Usually, there were only two to three cars beneath our tower. But yesterday, there were twelve cars in all. I knocked on our door. Nobody replied. I had the house keys with me. I unlocked the door and stepped in. The whole house was dark. Suddenly, the lights came on a and everyone yelled, 'Happy Birthday Alisha!'. It was a surprise birthday. Both of my grandparents sets were present. All of my school friends and teachers were also there. I was touched. We enjoyed the rest of the party together. It was the best birthday I had ever had!
