consider the motion in vertical direction from window of apartment to ground

v₀ = initial velocity at window = 0 m/s

Y = vertical displacement as the eraser travel from window to ground = 15 m

a = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

t = time taken to travel from window to ground = ?

using the equation

Y = v₀ t + (0.5) a t²

inserting the values

15 = 0 t + (0.5) (9.8) t²

t = 1.75 sec
