Dear Diary,
Our excitement knew no bounds when we started on an adventurous trip to Rishikesh today morning. We started at 5.00 a.m. and had our breakfast on the way. We reached Rishikesh around 11.00 a.m. There, our camp organizer informed us about the do’s and don’t’s in the camp area. After walking down the hill (300 mts. steep), we reached our camp site where the manager told us that two camps were ready for us and also informed us that it would be our home for the next two days. After keeping our bags, we decided to go for Kayaking. Our instructor gave us useful tips on Kayaking but we were not able to maintain our balance or were too slow in rowing the Kayak. We also tried swimming but there were too many rocks, so we decided to give it up. Late in the evening, we played volley-ball on the beach, had tea and later had dinner. Now, we are resting in our tents. Hope tomorrow would be more adventurous.

Role of School in a Child’s Life
A child’s second home is his school. The school imparts the valuable life leading skills that a child will always need. A school contributes a lot in the development of a child’s all round personality. It is necessary that a child attends school regularly so that the school may have a positive impact on the child. The school not only imparts education related to the curriculum but also helps in the extra-curricular activities. It helps in building team skills and leadership qualities which will be required by a child throughout his life. Thus, the role of the school cannot be taken lightly by anyone. It is the foundation on which a child’s future rests.
