I exercise caution every day. Because in the past, it has happened many a time that I have had to abort my task because of something I had forgotten. Today too, like any other day, I slung my backpack over my shoulder and opening the front door stepped out into the dull morning. I ran down the slope, suddenly I thought: do I have the umbrella in my bag? I wasn't sure. Fighting the urge to let it be, I opened my bag and saw that it was there. Just then, I heard the school bus honking incessantly. Finally, out of breath, I hopped into the waiting bus as it sped away down the road. Hardly had the bus reached the road adjoining our school that the clouds relented and it started raining cats and dogs. Oh boy, was I happy that I had my umbrella in my bag. I thanked myself silently for the carefulness.
